no? lol. Im not a sympathizer for 30fps i just recognize the open world of a next gen GTA game can not be 60fps with the CPU's on the current consoles. literally impossible. Even on the pro. the ammount of s*** going on will throttle those CPU's to death. I understand why 30fps is going to be the limit here and im not gonna boycot a game about it
Also naughty dog's next game the trailer was 60fps already
Case in point: Rockstar released the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on Tuesday, and the company tells The Hollywood Reporter that it has received over 475 million views across platforms.
For comparison, the first trailer for the game, which was released all the way back in 2023, saw a relatively modest 93 million views in the same window (that trailer was a YouTube exclusive). The company claims that the trailer release is the biggest video launch of all time. In the film space, the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer debuted to 365 million views in its first 24 hours, while The Fantastic Four: First Steps debuted to more than 200 million.
And that demand extends to the soundtrack. The trailer’s featured song was “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters (written by Sharon Robinson), and Spotify says that streams of the song soared by 182,000% since its release (no, that isn’t a typo). GTA games feature music heavily via the in-game radio stations, on missions and in cut scenes.
“Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else,” Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s global head of editorial, said in a statement. “Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way.”
With these numbers, Rockstar can literally make an upcoming artist's career if one gets lucky to get put in one of the in-game radio stations
anyone bet this gon be the goty
Easiest money ever how bout that
do we realistically think this is going to even live up to expectations?
rn i dont think it will but that will probably change as we learn more about it
Gonna be insane to see this game do probably close to 2 billion in sales the first week
Calm
Might do like 800 million (if you're talking dollars) but 2 billion is not happening in a week

Unless they have some game-changing gameplay mechanics and aren't trying to focus on story this time around, probably not
Because the narrative PR has been cringe and you can tell the story is going to be some Hollywood s***
Calm

Its def doing over 1 billion
Its def doing over 1 billion
Seen a source that said V did $350 million but another said $1 billion in like 3 days. So yeah, definitely over $1 billion. But 2 just crazy, some people not going to cop immediately
Its def doing over 1 billion
It could go over 1 billion the day pre-orders drop
Been watching the trailer again I’m seeing what they mean about some scenes are gameplay I can kinda see which ones are but they are so f***ing beautiful I couldn’t tell like when Jason is shooting out of the car that’s clearly in game
Rumors of this releasing for 200 standard edition?
Think it's gonna be $100 standard
It could go over 1 billion the day pre-orders drop
yup and all they gotta do is sell a million copies of the $100 edition

It’s so f***ing time
But if the base is $100 there's probably going to be a $150 and a $200 edition as well, and those will sell very well too
If there's a version with early access it's game over
this game bout to be such a huge pop cultural moment
Arguably the biggest ever I see Jason and Lucia becoming pop culture icons immediately

If expectatations are immersive graphics and sound whoring alongside groundbreaking NPC AI then absolutely.
If expectations are deep gameplay that makes the player think and have lots of choice whether it be in character development or approach to missions (ala mgsv) then hopefully...
I wonder if they’ll bring the stock market mechanic back
