60fps will never be the standard when you can get better graphics for 30fps

Theres millions of songs to use I always wondered how they choose which ones they use. Powerhouse gaming studios who really push the consoles to their limits will go with 30 fps every time. Multiplayer games should be 60 standard tho imo

If the "best" studio with an unlimited budget can't cook up a performance mode for base console the they're frauds

GTA IV ran at 720p on the 360 (even lower on the PS3 if I remember correctly), V couldn’t hold 30fps until it came out on 8th gen. Rockstar have never really pushed console performance, the games are too complex.

I don't see how it's crazy for them to make a performance mode with the resources they have

The consoles just aren’t powerful enough, the GTA V performance mode looks horrible on the PS5 and that’s a decade old game. The draw distance is significantly decreased and the population density is turned way down compared to quality mode. VI will be a significant step up from V so I wouldn’t hold your breath for a 60fps mode on non pro consoles.

That’s actually not true

They are very comparable. It’s just from ps4 -> ps5 they DIDNT increase the draw distance. When pc is much better draw distance. The quality mode and performance is actually very similar just different resolutions and frame rate

The performance rt mode is actually decent
