For a game that cost that much to make if its raising game prices for a one time purchase and value or massive layoffs WHICH ARE AT RECORD LEVELS THIS YEAR.....
"a game that cost that much to make" as if they didn't billions off a single game with mtx
at least try to make a good point if you're gonna be this stupid

they did make billions
fortnite makes billions
the cost of maintaining it for 10 years and companies want more profit
GTA V is a value 10 years later is it not? Whether you bought it at launch in 2013 or on sale later correct?
GTA San Andreas cost 50$ at launch with inflation thats $83.06
today .....
whats not clicking
I am not saying it should be 100 because as many of you are saying those profits wouldn't go to the right people but larger sized high budget games costing more because they are larger, more hours of play and take countless work from so many individuals isnt the end of the world. Its 30$ not 300.
PS5 Pro will cost like 600. Pay upwards of 80$ a year for online. Pay for internet
Gaming is not a poor mans sport....
Inflation has affected every form of media yet gamers are the ones that b**** the loudest

if the game made billions without charging $100 for per game, a near 50% price increase from the growing standard is clearly not needed.
also if you're going to talk about a company making billions and having layoffs, maybe try to think critically and realize charging more if more than likely not going to change that?
ride the d*** harder tho i guess
Movie tickets cost 6$ when GTA San Andreas released
GTA san Andreas cost 60$
Movie tickets now cost 15$

There is 0 Chance of anything changing by offering the gamer a crazy value and gamers hate microtransactions.
If game companies raise to 80, 90, 100 which with conversion rates its already close to upwards of that high as you see console prices are different by region its not the end of the world. People buying less games isn't the end of the world. If the game is polished at launch and 100 hours what other media can you get a dollar per hour or more?

wrong. they'll still make profits. also "gamers hate microtransactions." In the context of rockstar games making money. are you serious?
you're arguing for them to raise their game cost as if it's the sole or even main source of revenue for them when it isn't.

"what other media can you get a dollar per hour or more?" idk, any other game that you didn't pay $100 for, music, movies, books, shows?
was that a serious question?
I think this will just be a $70 base release
However, I do think they might drop a physical special edition that can cost $100
Who even knows what game prices are going to look like in 2 years, Rockstar might not even be the first to try and charge more than $70. Nobody thought games would go beyond $60 until this generation.
idgaf
control yourself lol
money isn't real bro. but gta 6? that's as real as it gets
I'd sell my soul to play that right now

cost of living, employees and everything else goes UP
Game prices have only gone up 20$ in 20 years....

you truly think the gaming industry is sustainable with 60 and 70$ games for 30 years because you want to stick it to corporations?
