I don’t want to see any more clips or learn new small details.
We’re so close breh like i want to discover some of this stuff in game lol

Bruh idk s*** about the game. Never watched the leaks and only 10mins of the netflix showcase. Go blind and experience it all from day one
i get why they did it that way, but would have prefered the print media previews and then an in depth deep dive.
still really wish the netflix preview felt more intentional. felt like they just kinda threw everything they felt comfortable sharing
they're hiding a big piece of the game for sure. i still cant believe d came out of hiding (RIP) for one song in rdr2
i think druski's gonna be in the game to some degree. there's def gonna be some celeb cameos. but i think there's gonna be a big gameplay element that rockstar is hiding even from the people with review copies
Yea definitely. And I really believe they didn’t even know how to market it at first because it’s so massive like they were saying
tbh it would have been sick if they didn't do extended previews or interviews and just dropped that s***, even if that would have been unrealistic (especially after both leaks). would have been nice to go into this without knowing a single thing
That’s what I would’ve liked. The fallout 4 reveal and drop is still second to none for me
this peak leak yet?
this peak leak yet?
Ye the source code just has to be copy/pasted into google and you can play it

Bet
Anybody complaining about 30FPS is going to adjust to it within like 20 minutes of playing. Wish Rockstar would just rip the bandaid off already and confirm it tho, the outcry about it is going to be worse the closer they do it to launch
maybe god is real, rockstar is crunching again, and they're delivering a final day 1 build for 60 fps no ray tracing
a man can dream right
solid 30fps ray tracking will still be a technical marvel on tech thats 6 years behind whats current

Hate when people say “lazy devs” to this being 30 fps
Do you see what you’re getting with that 30 fps on these consoles?!??
its already been confirmed
https://www.tomshardware.com/video-games/grand-theft-auto-6-will-run-at-only-30-fps-on-consoles-at-launch-no-performance-mode-promised-even-the-souped-up-ps5-pro-might-not-get-60-fps-support
Head of Development at Rockstar North, Rob Nelson, played the game for 2+ hours in front of Jones, who then detailed the experience on his Flow Games podcast. He said he could see the game running at 30 FPS during the demonstration, so he inquired about performance modes. Nelson replied that the game runs at 30 FPS for now, and that he'd need to "consult the technical team" for whether we'll see 60 FPS at launch "or later."
This has been the standard for Rockstar games for more than a decade at this point — release the game with a 30 FPS target in mind and update it later with a 60 FPS patch on more performant hardware. GTA V runs at 30 FPS on both the PS3 and PS4, but got updated to run at 60 FPS on the PS5. Red Dead Redemption 2 is unfortunately still stuck at 60 FPS on even current-gen consoles, however.
giving such a vague response on 60fps is weird to me, i dont know why they just can't outright deny it. part of me feels like they're trying to push the limits enough already and may have some of the team still working on trying to get it there, but it seems like an impossible feat with the current technology

if this game stays true locked, no dips 30 fps during high paced densely populated miami beach scenes then they've pushed the technology to its absolute limits
ultimately ill take that experience over an unlocked framerate that dips between 28-45 during stress tests

when they're this wishy washy it just means they're trying to do it but don't know if they can

I'll take a stable 9 FPS
The Netflix special was all we needed gameplay wise ngl
The marketing is just selling the world of vice city now
well yea but that's boring ngl. everything happening now should've happened in august-sept
im convinced the consoles can hit 60 fps if unlocked but can't maintain a steady enough pace to even think about warranting it.
another element that people seem to be ignoring is just how dense all the leaks and gameplay they shown. like its a level of density i haven't seen in any other triple a game like this and if all the npc behave how we imagine them to...
its gonna be dizzying
fps talk
I'll take a stable 9 FPS
Devs who worked on this game for a decade are still discovering stuff. We'll be eating till the forseeable future
Wait even the devs are discovering stuff?
when they're this wishy washy it just means they're trying to do it but don't know if they can
the fact that they're wishy washy on it tho leads me to believe they're closer to it than we would think, but they might not be able to make it happen without sacrificing rockstar level quality, or how the game was intended to be played
i imagine the vehicle and population density are actually integral to the core gameplay loop and there's certain graphic settings they're not willing to compromise on for the 60fps setting
otherwise i just see them saying its not possible on release but they're working on pushing for an update that can take it there
Wait even the devs are discovering stuff?
Yep. Rob Nelson said the game is so big that nobody really knows everything in the game, not even him
been playing all my ps5 games on 30fps

how do they quality test a game like this? if devs are given free reign to do what they want and give extra TLC to minute arbitrary details, what is done to ensure the game doesn't break???
