Would be an absolutely stupid move. Everything points to next-gen being a disaster: $1,000+ consoles, RAM/memory shortages, scalpers, rising game and subscription prices, and an all-digital future.

This gen is already considered one of the worst, largely because the pandemic f***ed up the PS4/Xbox One transition due to massive demand, which was quickly followed by multiple price hikes.

Next gen could be 100x worse.

Making GTA Online next-gen only would be suicide, even for Rockstar.
