Money gated progression always slapped in the older titles whether it was Vice City with the businesses or Liberty City Stories with the 8 Ball mission where he asks for 20 grand, which is most of what you would have earned by that point

Yeah they release you into the open world and tell you to get your money up before the next big spectacle

It being 30fps was always going to lead to people saying s***. Yes its an upgrade but for how long it was in devleopment and the budget people began to set crazy unrealistic expectations for 6 year old consoles. Games are more than graphics. Engaging or obsession in those discussions been overplayed for over a decade. Graphics have overall plateaued to some degree. Art style matters more. We care about the npc ai. Interactions. Choice based narratives. Looking pretty is cool but this was the first GTA I played and at the time it wasnt the most graphically impressive game

the draw has always been the world. Whole internet can say they hate the graphics or think it looks the same. Grifters going to grift just ready to hands on the game.

Jay really does come across as Arthur-esque where he's got smarts but comes across as a borderline dumbass socially. He even sounds like him.

He even relies on and follows Lucia the way Arthur follows Dutch

Kinda Funny said many missoins are money gated because they are on the run and need a certain amount of money to engage in things. This is also to push players to explore other activities, side quest to make money. More RPG like in many ways. Also why I am hearing you wont buy safe houses because on the move

"its rockstar the trailers always look like the game" people kind of put too much sauce on it. When most of us knew it would be similiar but not exactly the same fidelity. So we wanted it to get to this gameplay moment so people would come down to earth

I tend to tune out the 60 FPS people because they're always teenagers or early 20s kids that were spoiled by 2010s era of not really pushing anything forward but looking amazing so they know nothing else and act elitist about framerate
