I can see that being the case, the fact that it was the sendoff title for that console gen made all mfers in sony and xbox stop caring since 2/3 months later ps4/xbox one would hit the shelves

One of the leaks stated that Rockstar wanted to release GTA V in October 2012 but they missed the deadline. One of the devs confirmed that this was true iirc

The only ones making it the coming of Christ are those who view Red Dead Redemption 2 or GTA V as the coming of Christ. V at launch was viewed as a technological achievement. Won some awards and gameplay fun but mission design not to die for. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a story that holds a soft spot in many people hearts and a few key missions people love same as V.

we know some more interiors will be added, Police ai major upgrade. While at the same time this loops back to between PS4 Pro and Xbox one to Series X or S is only so large of a leap. But they really go crazy because GTA V launched on Xbox 360 so its a console that launched in 2006 to consoles that launched in 2020. All for a game that comes out 6 years into generation.

A lot of what some are expecting is for PC version or PS6, Xbox Helix versions. Reasonable expectations are some of what you are listing but all of it at 60fps? Is just unrealistic. In a time where we are having less open world, sandbox games at all.

Its okay to ignore the "omg its already the greatest game of a time" "video billboards we have never seen that before" "turn signals on cars this is the game to beat" people. Because many of them dont talk about key things that fully change the way you play games they talk about games like a tech demo or the Matrix UE5 demo which years later we dont see any game like that open world.

I get wanting

• Improved enemy and NPC AI with persistent memory
• foilage, buildings cars that respond to damage and the player
• Density of land with enterable buildings ( although I doubt house robberies are making a return I think most convenient stores and businesses with will be robbable.)
• Gym with rpg mechanics
• side quest of police, firefighter, ups delivery and so much more

I think we see some of this in the extended Netflix showing in an ideal world as long as it isnt a prequel film with machinima

Out of the leaks itself yeah it looks like just another GTA . Its leaks that are 2 minutes that often have bugs that arent completed finished game. When the Netflix extended comes out if it doesnt present a lot of what you are talking about I will feel the same way. Another game with not the best shooting, not the best animations we have seen. Again as mentioned Grand Theft Auto games tend to be jack of all trades which work against it in some ways
