I'm just thinking since we're gonna have this game for a decade minimum, at some point taking in all the atmosphere isn't gonna be hitting as hard. Having the radio as an option would be great. Or like being able to go fishing with the radio playing instead of just standing there in silence for the most part.
thebhambecause the radios are fun to listen to and arguably the strongest quality of any gta game. its one of the most consistently requested features oat and if you dont want to use it then dont.

would be fun for fishing / boating if you can have a boombox or turn the vehicle stereo way way up and vibe in both ambiances. even walking around online with a boombox could make for hilarious moments
