There's no way he doesn't get caught lmao, there's definitely gotta be something up with the guy though, you don't act this confident and supervillain-y over a lack of physical discs without a few issues going on, I think this is unfortunately gonna be someone who doesn't fully understand the situation they're in

IcyNeckAbout what? I’m genuinely confused at what you guys think would qualify as a major disruption to the video game industry if not this. If this wasn’t disruptive it would happen all the time. It doesn’t happen often bc the industry has so many protections to avoid this. In GTA’s case you’d assume it would have the UPMOST protection— acknowledging the money and history it has already. So the protections were bypassed. Any bypass will be addressed and measures will be put in place to avoid it happening again. If pivoting back to include physical means it won’t happen again for this reason, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be on the table in the next meeting they have.
At most the leaks are going to make some of the marketing less surprising.
But that's pretty much it. They know the game is gonna sell regardless, the preorders already goin crazy. No theyre not gonna pivot to physicals again in 3 months lol.
