    Idk you can‘t compare both

V literally came out on PS3

Blew my mind that they were using invisible trucks for the cinematic shots/airborne pov because of memory limitations

Yup very fair. Always wish they did a better job optimizing it for new consoles

I think the PS5 version is actually fine. PS3 version was insane for all the limitations they had tho

This is why I'm pretty sure GTA VI will be insane

If you remember what they did with GTA V on PS3 and RDR2 on PS4

I don't even want to know what they did with GTA VI on PS5 and PS5 Pro

Assume they’re gonna do some machinima style video which they’ll later reveal was like 80% open world gameplay or something.

I’m assuming it’s gonna be something like this. Which would be dope

Definitely. I do still think 5 aged poorly though after rdr2 blew it out of the water

I think V wasnt the best game of all time at launch . IV either lol . They were good games though but best of all time at launch a bit crazy. Rockstar fanbase used to enjoy their games but recognize they always had good competition/ other games were also great.

I think there is a machinima mode likely in game so when the presentation completes they say players have a way of making their own movies in game. Then of uploading them to youtube.

So each player can show how they accomplished missions or freeroamed. As well as the game creates a file of their entire playthrough.

I think they will hugely encourage player creation to insane degrees like that.

Way too hard lmao but I think Rockstar never really missed with GTA even when they‘re not all perfect, they‘re still one of the best

Prolly something like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cuphead (personal fav), LOU Part 1 and Ocarina of Time

Some more casual stuff like the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series (loved it as a young kid), OG CoD MW2, BO1 and 2

Cuphead is one of those games that I love watching others play because I already told myself this side scrolling bullet hell is gonna whoop me lol

Curating isn't bad, I just felt like the missions themselves were way less fun than the real game/free roam. Just two completely different design philosophies it felt like. It's, of course, a dope story, cinematic moments, XYZ. but it just felt like a lot of handholding taking me from point a to point b while the free roam is where the immersion and the fun comes through, through deep interaction with the world.

Yeah I've heard that as a common point of friction. It's two design philosophies in the game, even though I like em

Hot take, but curated is not bad
I played that joint on its terms instead of wishing it let you loose like dishonored or Skyrim, and I had a blast. But then again, I find the Hitman games a little overwhelming (still haven't left Paris in world of Assassination) so this is clearly a mileage thing

V was a bit too curated with mission fail states vs the the original sandbox feeling of unique ways to complete missions. Being able to complete them before certain voice lines or phases were even used if you used your brain. That was the original GTA I fell in love with. It because more and more consumed with being a movie so it also meant less free will in how you complete the game. I dont want a million people playing something and we all just have the same solution of unload ammo into it not even shoot out tires explosives or something where we use our brain.

Can yall elaborate about the shooting being ass, I agree in gta v but rdr2 didnt feel bad

Definitely feels clunky and slow if you turn off aim assist and I hate playing with it on because I don't want it to snap to an enemy whenever I press L2

I never said it wouldn’t lol

Also idk if you know how game development works cos what we saw in 2021/2022 was literally the early pre-alpha

There won’t be radical new things in from there

    Bozo

Lmao, nigga said "Pre-alpha 4 years before launch is basically the final product, they not doing much after that" Do you know how game development works?

  • In the spirit of common sense, I hope they give us an option to wear a seatbelt. Getting tired of flying through windshields lol

Played a mission in a Dishonored 1 DLC for a bit; good lord the freedom of choice is intoxicating

Yeah V definitely wanted to be more cinematic in presentation. I doubt that goes away with VI but the difference is that R* was working with a severely handicapped console back then. We'll see how they do now in terms of AI improvements. Should be quite a leap.
