Rockstar has already exceeded their own expectations for pre-orders, supposedly got millions from Netflix to premier a game trailer for only 6 hours of exclusivity and the game is still months away from actually releasing. Then there's whatever they have to get people to buy shark cards for the new gta online.

Rockstar will make so much money they'll never have to make a game ever again. Insane.

That’s absolutely what they’re going to do, your personal vehicles I imagine are gonna feel far more important, like the horse in RDR2.
I also think limiting the inventory will lead to a more strategic game feel and I’d imagine it would also indicate weapons feeling more distinct themselves.

F*** that, make the game you want, people can decide for themselves. I love how uncompromising RDR2 is, and people did too apparently given it sold 70 million copies.

I still think GTA Online will include whole Leonida/Gloriana AND Los Santos. Thats why they wont talk about it until the end of October/early November

I really don't want this either and don't see how it can make sense. Doing this would be for the sake of realism but how would it be realistic if you steal a car and your trunk gets transferred? Or are they going to make players go through the hassle of going back to their car to transfer the contents each time they steal a new one? What if you get into a gunfight and your car is parked far away?

Keep the characters pulling ARs and rocket launchers out of their pockets imo

Can see it beating this easy but Samson is the golden standard for open world sandboxes right now. Don't see how Rockstar can outdo it

The thing that really interests me about this is that I actually can't think of a way this could blow me away and feel like a true step forward in gaming, and I think either outcome (it's a generation-defining masterpiece vs. it's just another GTA) will be very interesting

Seamlessness, fluidity and more systematic based gameplay in a big, dense urban open world is what’s going to elevate the title, and it’ll look/feel far more novel than you’d probably think.

People here probably should expect more RDR2 though. It’s obviously gonna be faster given the setting, but I think almost everything is gonna feel more emphasized with a greater weight to it.

Even better seamless cinema cam for gameplay, immersive npc ai at scale

Hell, more interiors would be a big deal too. The random events that are going to be on a whole other level compared to RDR2, I also think the dual protagonist aspect will feel more fleshed out and offer more gameplay opportunities than V.

Not to mention having scuba diving, off roading, fishing, hunting, sports activities, pool, social media, an expanded internet, and who knows what else.

We ultimately know so little of the actual scope.

I don't want them to take too much from RDR2 tbh RDR1/Max Payne 3/V was pretty much the perfect balance between realistic movement and still feeling fun

It’s obviously not gonna be paced like RDR2, but you should naturally expect elements to find their way into this, systems, expanded mechanics etc.
