I hope this game can recapture the scope and variety of San Andreas.

Oh I am not setting that high of expectations considering in that regard every game since San Andreas by them has let me down

I feel like they kind of did that with RDR2 where it felt like you were on a journey throughout the map from
place to place, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they really take full advantage of the map as a whole in VI (especially given how much they likely put into it, they’re gonna WANT you to see as much of it as possible).

Just from the trailers we’ve seen there seems to be a lot more activities in non-city areas.

It’d also make sense if the story does follow a sort of Bonnie and Clyde narrative where Jason and Lucia would need to leave town to duck the heat and s***.

Random thought but how would you guys feel if Rockstar just kept being silent until they drop another trailer in Sept/Oct. But instead of the gameplay trailer we're all expecting, it's just another character/story type trailer and they don't have the voiceover V/RDR 2 gameplay trailer at all before launch. You guys still copping Day 1?

This isn't happening, they're all about maximizing profit and there are thousands of potential buyers who need gameplay footage just to remember what a GTA is. If you've ever worked customer service, you know that it is a miracle some people manage to survive.

I fully expect another normal trailer before gameplay lol. They always do 3 trailers then gameplay trailers

We expect this because of their past marketing patterns with V/RDR2. But they're not following the same pattern so far for VI, we already had trailer 3 like 5 months before launch for both of those games

Well the next Earnings Call is in 3 days so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next 2-3 days though!

Also I guess we can expect another one before the game is out.

either the behind the scenes is f***ed up or the final product is so strong that they know itll exceed all expectations

i keep comparing the next reveal to be similar to steve jobs revealing the iphone if they show gameplay.

Behind the scenes is undoubtedly f***ed up. We always hear stories about the development of games on this scale years after release. Dan Houser said the toll from developing these games is why he left, also the first time they're making a GTA without leaders like him and Leslie Benzies

But I also think Rockstar are lowkey fearing backlash. No matter what they deliver, people will be saying it didn't live up to the hype. And they don't have the best image right now with the no physicals and scummy practices with their staff/unions

Third trailer might just be the gameplay one in a month But @YeezyDude gave me some hope with that earnings call
