Wanna replay RDR2 too but I know it's going to be an extra slow playthrough just taking my time. Can't afford to put the rest of my backlog on the backburner for that

You really think they porting RDR2 and those older GTAs over to next gen? Could see RDR2 ending up similar to Bloodborne

  • I got OG GTA 3, VC and SA on my PSN account too, might play VC just to catch any references in VI Don't know how well these play on PS5 though and that old camera/controls are hell

Gotcha I'm also considering not getting VI at launch but I'll probably end up caving. Would be heated if some random YouTube thumbnail spoils the ending for me. I guess it will probably end in some sort of betrayal where you might have to kill one of/both protagonists but playing the game knowing for sure that's how it ends would ruin my first playthrough

I will be that lol . If anything would rent a console for launch month and play it . I am not paying 600 for a console , paying for online, getting a new tv for one game . Simply refuse to do that.

Thats why I am on the fence may just rent a console for the first month. I want to marathon or dig in myself before people spoil large parts of it even if I am not hugely invested in story itself I like discovering mechanics and easter eggs myself. Everyone going to be posting clips of them breathing , spoilers then just spam of killing civilians.

I just updated PC with tax dollars so kind of like let me catch up on my backlog anyway because its long especially after breaking from gaming from 2023 to now kind of. Need to finish Alan Wake 2, want to play old GTAs, getting phantom blade zero, Stranger than Heaven and many other games.

GTA VI going to get so many updates over the next 2 years. I played V at launch and I genuinely think I would like it infinitely more if I had just waited. They added so many better features and runs infinitely better. There is not a single spoiler about that game that would bother me.

We're in similar boats, I only got a PS5 late last year after I couldn't play disc games on my PS4 (touch sensitive buttons caused discs to auto-eject/PS4 to enter rest mode randomly while playing) so I'm also playing catch up. Still haven't touched Ragnarok, Death Stranding, FF VII remakes, TLOU2 and other than a TLOU2 spoiler, I'm completely unaware of what happens in those games

I'm perfectly fine with waiting years to play a game but as you said, you wanna discover those little things in Rockstar's worlds yourself while playing. And this feels like the last zeitgeist moment in gaming, I kinda don't want to miss it

Not even lying when I say I can only afford to buy GTA VI Ultimate Edition twice with what I got in my savings

I really really REALLY hope this is their best game yet in every way but I have a bad feeling the writing is gonna suck without Dan Houser and a lot of the original writers. Got a feeling the jokes won’t hit. Hope I’m wrong. Game looks amazing though graphics wise, gameplay we’ve got no idea because they’ve shown absolutely nothing which is wild considering they want people to pre order for 100 bucks when we’ve not even seen the game. In a way that’s what’s making me worry a lot, like why haven’t they showed a gameplay trailer yet? It’s as if they’re worried it can’t live up to the hype which honestly it probably won’t.

The jokes mostly missed in the originals too, what do you mean?

They were always low-brow and crass, never particularly clever or well-constructed. Managing to have both Lucia and Jason be well-rounded, fleshed out characters would already elevate this title beyond most of the previous installments.

It can't get worse than the writing in V. It's only up from there

Oh if you currently have a ps5 get it at launch . The games you missed on there not worth missing gta vi . It’s also I don’t care about the online of it at all immediately .To the point I wouldn’t even pay for psn. Singleplayer on it why I’m there . Online could come out a year later and I wouldn’t care

San Andreas was a fun script I don’t think they need to take themselves overly serious

So I finished Sleeping Dogs. The chase sequences were fun until they were repetitive, same with the hacking /bug planting/safe cracking minigames. Was mostly beelining through the main story and not deviating too much. Combat is cool, but I was playing this alongside Devil May Cry 5 and good lord, DMC5 is like butter to play (when we're not doing annoying platforming with Dante) so the difference is stark. Story is nothing to write home about, but for a 12-14 hour game, you could do a whole lot worse to kill time
