Still don’t get why they named this joint The Elephant Man’s Bone. Not even a single soundbite on the subject lol

He used the phrase in The Eye of Whorus on Mt. Marci.
I still don’t know why he used that title but it’s not foreign for Roc

I think if the soundbites were consistent like on Bo Jackson the title would’ve made sense. My biggest critique of ALC is just the random bites thrown across projects; really hated them on Continuance.

I like them personally. They convey the feeling of a movie or coasting through outer space lol

The Elephant Man was dehumanized. People viewed him as an animal and assumed he had no kind of humanity—it might be that Roc is equating his objectification by the music industry, systematic oppression at large, etc. to the way the Elephant Man’s humanity was denied.
Roc mentions on the album how the industry and his other life experiences made him feel heartless and cold. That’s my view at least

Trust me— I don’t mind Roc talking the empty pimp talk, because that’s his bread and butter. But at this point in his discography I would really fw if he got in his more introspective bag more. “Trillion Cut,” “Pray for Me,” “Power” kinda s***.
“My dookie don’t even stink” - Roc Marciano
“Y’all doo-doo, I’ll sock it to you” - Roc Marci (Reloaded)
Power top 5 Roc
No doubt about that..
RR2 is his best imo. So f***in adventurous across the board
Power top 5 Roc
Printing money I’m the dollar tree
They praise the god it’s like idolatry
When the waters got choppy I was in the drivers seat, steered my family out of poverty!!
I know everyone loves Reasonable Doubt but I think this is the best thing Roc produced for another artist

Stigmata is 10/10
You know how when people call a song a “vibe”? Stigmata is a pure vibe
I always gotta wait for the bars to settle in on Roc albums lmao
The first 4 lines of the album is all you need tbh
The Horns of Abraxas is so good. That s*** sounds like a Blaxploitation western film.
I really want to hear the story of how Ice-T came to be involved. That’s one of the most interesting features I’ve heard and I love how well it decorates the song
Whole album sound like 60s espionage

"My cardiologist couldn't hear my heart"
