isn’t that the same one that david simon produced? didn’t realise he was in it
good shout
Yup that's the one. Think it was David Simon's first post-Wire project. It's brilliant.
I’m an idiot for just realizing Alexander is Stellan’s son
Should’ve been obvious with the last names but for the longest I kept confusing him with Armie Hammer

Floki from Vikings and Pennywise from It are also Stellan's sons

He f***ing snapped
Just looked it up he has hella kids and 2 young ones with a new wife. His bloodline taking over Hollywood once his kids have kids old enough to act
Watch Generation Kill if you haven't (and sadly so many haven't). He's exceptional in that
I started at ep.1 & it was good but HBO Max got me caught up on too many shows. I’m watching that soon
I saw this on Saturday.
Honestly not as blown away as others itt. It's very cool to see him getting a shot at a big budget film and in the sense of providing a grand spectacle he certainly pulled it off. But the plot lacks depth. Some characters were a little one-dimensional and/or under-devwloped. And, for as weird as it was, I just think of how weird The Lighthouse was and can't help but compare, and want the latter.
Also was nice to see a heavy emphasis on cultural/authenticity elements throughout. Often got lost in the midst.
Still worth seeing no doubt.
yeah this was hard
Dolby Cinema this weekend
I gotta pre roll full of Cali Blue Dream ready to smoke before I go to the theater
It's gonna be a good time

You ever green out from smoking a full one by yourself before?

Is it The Revenant syndrome? Where the beautiful visuals aren’t really propped up with a plot that involving.

Those dispensary pre rolls strong AF
I can face like 1/3 of one and be good af, I keep my tolerance pretty low nowadays anyway.
I greened out once smoking one so now I try not to smoke too much at once

Similar yeah. I never felt too invested in the characters. And some plot decisions just felt a little too contrived.
I read this review after seeing it and pretty much agree with everything he says: bbc.com/culture/article/20220411-the-northman-review-not-weird-or-violent-enough
He also brings up Green Knight, which was also the first comparison point that came to mind for me after seeing it. And I much prefer Green Knight
Wait why????
We back to low budget indy aftet this flop
hope he can still afford anya
Also he didn’t say “it’s not gonna happen” Marc asked “so those films aren’t happening” and Rob said “not at the moment”. Niggas gotta learn how to quote correctly before tweeting

once on a roasting hot day in the middle of summer when I was 13 and we had smoked and bomber that was strictly THC compiled from a buster
another time hotknifing roaches back then I got green out paralyzed in front of a tv that was playing Natural Born Killers
Hasn't happened in a thousand years though
I listened to the podcast and he just said it wasn’t currently in the works, unless there’s a second part i didn’t hear
