and the recession is gonna make it harder to live pay cheque to pay cheque this concerns everyone

Right but my question is what should I do about it?

I don't make enough to really stack any meaningful amount of cash. Ya boy ate burnt ass twice-reheated pizza for lunch today.

So I don't see what choice I have but to keep living my life as usual, chasing my goals as usual, and hoping everything turns out okay.

That’s what happens when you raise interest rates prematurely.

Everyone involved in this decision needs to be shot

This has always been the case. Phillips Curve dictates inflation and wages inversely correlated, Fed has a mandate to limit inflation. Know what you’re talking about before you speak.

Isn’t Phillips curve debunked regarding anything that isn’t short term?

They updated it to the expectations augmented Philips Curve when it broke the last time we were experiencing inflation like this

I mean yeah. Either that or try to stack as much paper as possible by any means necessary, be cut throat and leave your conscience at the door.

Sometimes you’re just trapped and there’s nothing you can really do.

This 2022 economics journal specifically states that such a curve was insignificant even in the 80’s, which was worse than now doi.org/10.1093/qje/qjac010

Well inflation is high and unemployment is low so idk what to tell you dog. FWIW I don’t support raising rates now, which is the Fed’s tool for lowering wages/prices.

    Neolibturd lie

There is countless evidence of price controls creating shortages.

There is also evidence of price controls working well due to inelasticity of supply, and the fact they were levied on a monopoly provider
