BigSkinnyI thought more of better ways they could have handled this movie than the actual movie. The first point is a fix for this movie and the second is what I would have wanted for the entire new trilogy
1. Rey kills the emperor while Kylo is climbing out of the pit. As Rey is dying, Kylo gives her the Skywalker name. He can then be Ben Skywalker.
2. Starting in Episode 7, you do the Palpatine storyline we have here, but Rey becomes the Empress and kills Han. Ben then fights the dark desire for revenge leading up to a showdown with Rey.

Funny enough i had guessed correctly that if they reveal who she’s related to. That the reveal would be a Palpatine heritage.
