Lool
It was a really good movie in my opinion
Some s*** did feel really forced, but thats what happens when tlj didnt advance the plot enough. We can nitpick but overall it was solid and i enjoyed it
Although I haven’t seen, I read the spoilers(I lost all hype as soon as palpatine was revealed so I didn’t care at that point).
My main disappointment is the fact that they completely retcon and ignore TLJ.
I actually enjoy that movie a lot and rank it behind ANH and Empire.
I’d argue that everything that film stripped away(Snoke, Kylo REN and the mask, etc) could have lead to a very promising and interesting finale.
But Disney chickened our and gave in to angry fanboys to make a safe, and bland apology sequel.
Bruh this decades in the making though
idk. i think for me since palp was shoehorned into this movie i didn't really feel anything when Rey scalped him.
Game of Thrones basically WAS "fear of the night king" and then they just poked him like nothing

True I feel that
that’s literally what happened
yea.. it lacked any kind of artistic merit for existing. Was just Disney reacting to Solo flopping and Star Wars Disney World resort under-performing.
i was fully enjoying up until rey found out she was a palpatine
falls off a cliff after that
I feel like kathleen forced jj to “fix” what the last jedi started. S*** even the actors were salty about tlj. Fee like jj had a lot of pressure to make something safe.
This Scene >>>>>
How tf does this scene have more impact than Kylo And Rey BATTLING like... wtf
i was fully enjoying up until rey found out she was a palpatine
Honestly same. The planet hoping adventure was pretty fun and JJ is good at setting up mysteries. But the reveals were so disappointing.

I personally hated the last jedi, and enjoyed this because it fixed a lot of what I thought they did wrong. Its kind of a shame that the drastic change in style between jj and rian created this kind of divide in the fanbase but it is what it is
nah they really do make you appreciate the prequels. Like them or not Lucas had an actual vision for them and stuck to it. The Disney trilogy has no reason to exist outside of box office gross. 7 reset the saga narrative back to 4 and 9 just set back to 6. It contributed nothing to the narrative of the series.
What was even good about the Prequels though? Bad acting. Bad CG. Bad dialogue. Bad script.
Even if you don’t like TLJ and ROTS, The Force Awaken is legitimately a better made film than all of the prequels.
I have respect for George Lucas for creating the franchise and a creative mind, but just because he had a vision doesn’t mean that vision was very good
the way literally everything in this movie is explicitly explained
bruh the way rey is told shes a palpatine was so cringe
didnt expect this thread to be so damn negative
