just thought of something
if the emperor was snoke, and snoke admits to bridging rey and kylo’s minds, why was he so surprised when he realizes how strong it is
Was Palpatine Snoke? I thought he just created him
Was Palpatine Snoke? I thought he just created him
tbh i’ve never really been sure
We don’t know that until the final 30 seconds. And it doesn’t even matter bc to Luke they were in that moment
You mean like chewie dying then different carrier . Some of y’all are either paid , hypocrites or just ignorant to story telling
It’s one of the themes. Not just bc Kylo says it but Luke’s entire character arc is based off letting go of the Jedi order. Literally in the scene with Yoda he burns down the ancient Jedi text. A movie can have two or more messages, TLJ does
How is Luke letting go of the jedi order when his final words are "i will not be the last jedi". The whole theme of tlj is learning from your past mistakes which everyone does except kylo which is why he fails

Yeah like that

Yeah that is one of the themes. Like doot doot said there’s multiple

He already let go of the Jedi order, that’s why he threw away the lightsaber at the beginning of the film
Luke’s arc is about EMBRACING what was good about the Jedi order and letting go of what did not work because it led to the rise of Darth Sidious.
He literally says that he will NOT be the last Jedi
He already let go of the Jedi order, that’s why he threw away the lightsaber at the beginning of the film
Yeah but his idea that good and evil isn’t defined by preexistent religious principles (which is just a complicated way of saying “let go of the past because that doesn’t define what or who is right”) is new to the audience. It’s touched on a little in the Prequels but way more in TLJ

when did anybody say Palpatine was Snoke bro
And Luke de-mystifying himself and lightsabers and everything could definitely be seen as a meta commentary on the series itself. To let go of what you think Star Wars and Luke Skywalker is and accept that these characters can change and grow

Their fans can’t grow ...

For sure, the concept of letting go of the past is definitely a meta theme in the film but I just don’t think it applies to the direction of Luke’s arc
Their fans can’t grow ...
TLJ let us know the loud fans just want to see the same things and have everyone related to each other again
Rian still has his trilogy right?
seems like it's not happening now, he may get one movie though and if it goes well i bet they'd expand on it
