Positives

• best aliens and world designs of st
• Best trio chemistry since new hope tbh I don't even think the PT trio hung around each other outside of geonosis in Aotc
• Rey vs kylo through the force connection
• Kylo ren was pretty threatening in this movie despite getting redeemed
• Daisy ridley
• outside their fake out deaths i liked chewie and 3p0s role in this.
• Visuals and effects are even though i think TLJ is a better shot movie
• Han and ben scene
• Ben going crazy on the knights of ren
• Some things with lando aren't that bad i like how he's still chasing after leia
• Evolving the rule of 2 was pretty nice i never liked the way it was used in the prequels.
• Chewies reaction to leias death
• Trio hug at the end

Negatives

• Poor f***ing finn i think he could've been way better used in TLJ but at least he has a character arc dude has nothing going for him in this movie besides that he's force sensitive
• I still hate palp's role in this if you remove him from this movie it probably would've been way better.
• This movie has no hint of subtlety that the previous 2 films did wonderfully. Everything has to be said out loud or shown in the most obvious way. Best examples is luke's whole introduction where he just says his whole character arc from TLJ out loud in the most over the top fan-service way and maz announcing to the audience that leia is about to die
• mark hamills performance. He also looked weird his hair looked nasty
• Almost every scene with leia is so awkward it feels like that south park eps after chief died and they spliced his lines.
• 3rd act has some good things but is really bad for the most part
• Probably the worst fan-service in any type of star wars media ever almost every fan service scene felt like it was ripped straight from reddit with no thought put into it.

6.5/10 Still the worst in the trilogy imo but not as bad as tpm or aotc and i like it more then R1

Just finished TLJ...this is like 50x better than RoS

they shoulda killed chewie

or maybe they should've put someone less star wars-significant in that carrier to be killed

instead they just backtracked on everything interesting about the rey-palpatine-lightning scene itself
basically they clickbaited us

so much blue whatever eyes wide shut sith place they had goin on for the palpatine scenes was beautifully washed over in blue

that was definitely a movie

Whole last act I loved but left with an "ok" feeling, this what happens when a bunch of redditors completely bash TLJ and Disney execs come in and tell JJ to clean up the mess. Whole movie felt like it was picking up broken pieces and putting it back together to make a coherent ending. It barely stuck the landing. I wish Ben's redemption was more central to the plot. Set design and visuals were really cool though, just need a new story with new characters t cause theres not much you could do w selling nostalgia at this point

apparently kylo is fighting vader loyalists in the ruins of the castle on mustafar at the start of the movie but we’d NEVER KNOW

What was the point of the knights of ren? They didn’t do s*** at all in the trilogy except for catching chewie lmao
