So Palpatine’s plan was to reassemble the Empire while disguised as Snoke... while simultaneously building his own other empire for some reason... and then get Kylo Ren to kill Rey, which he fails at... then says he wanted Rey to kill him the whole time, then decides to just consume her life force instead, then she does kill him but doesn’t get possessed by him like he wanted her to... right?
95% of this is right, but Rey didn’t kill Palp
Palp got struck by his own lightning before, this was actually JJ’s way of avoiding that last plot hole you mentioned. The girl technically didn’t kill the emperor

The games also give a better explanation of the force better then the movies. i always wondered why the jedi don't use force abilities in the beginning of fights to easily win their battles. Then Jedi fallen order comes out and easily shows how a villain can get out of a force pull or push.

I think they set the foundation up, they just skipped from foundation to execution with not enough build up imo. That’s why I think they really had to have more movie planned and someone just chopped ideas and scenes out

Oh yeah the games are amazing to follow, plus they can better combine different sources. SW is honestly better done in every medium except the movies

UnityKylo Ren had so much potential man. Adam Driver is a truly phenomenal actor and was perfect for the role. It's a crime what they did to his character in this movie
