I’m not a fan of the emo s***. I only like a couple fall out boy songs and that one panic at the disco song despite being a big fan of the smiths.
So I’m a fan of the feeling. How I feel about that emo s*** is pretty much how I feel about trap music. I like some, but don’t call me an expert.
But when u combine the two is when I can really can fux witchu my nigga.
That’s what makes me a big fan of guys like future, drake, and travis.
Juice wasn’t at the point where he combined the world’s together to become what we were waiting for.
But I enjoyed the flashes I saw. His verse on red bentley was some of the best pure autotune flows i heard since like 2008.
Made future and thug sound like regular rappers on that joint. They had great verses and slid, but he cleant it up the craziest.
There was a point i played black and white every single day. Prolly my favorite juice song.
Wasted and Lean Wit Me go hard.
I been really rockin wit Realer n Realer lately.
Niggas laughed but i always said he sounded like a white chief keef. Mainly when ppl was tryna say he sounded like post cause I didn’t hear that.
By that I meant patrick from fall out boy doing trap music.
U best believe I loved the lyrical cacophony of juice saying “im gettin stuck nikker” with the hard R
That’s some young nigga s*** for real. Just goofin off drunk and high wit ya niggas, and ya nigga say somn crazy, and u jus like “shut up nikker”
S*** is never not funny and the way juice just thru it in there knowing what his image is like.
It just said a lot to me. He’s one of the ppl i name when I say how important of an album speedin bullet 2 heaven is.
How it made black kids comfortable with reclaiming rock music as their own.
Juice laid it on too thick for me atm, not saying it was a bad thing. It just wasn’t for me.
One - I enjoy music that celebrates life more than i enjoy music that meditates on death. Both very important, but that’s my preference at this point in life.
Two- I never understood junkies, and I don’t understand addiction.
Some of my favorite artists are junkies, but I’ve never been close to one in my personal life.
I work in manhattan so it’s not like i never see them.
But i do know they are dealing with deep seeded issues. I hate to sound harsh, but when someone becomes a junkie, I do look at the ppl around them a certain way.
Because one thing I do know about d**** is that they often fill a void that someone in their life isn’t filling.
I think a lot of it comes from repressed childhood trauma.
But no matter where it comes from, music always helps.
I lot of juice lyrics, I didn’t take seriously, because I never seen someone like him. But gen z has things I’ve never seen. Y’all nigga really watching anime and be in the streets about that life too. Can’t wrap my mind around it.
I’m a millennial and most niggas from my generation is closet anime niggas cause they too sensitive to get roasted about it.
But I’m still gon roast u niggas like how I got roasted for listening to rock music in high school
It’s a good thing, cause it gives u more conviction. And out of that comes niggas like juice wrld.
That niggas was into everything and still came wit the real street raps.
If Tupac was the intelligent thug, Juice was the cultured thug.
RIP Juice. It’s almost two o’clock and I ain’t get out of bed yet. There’s so much music happening. I thought I could wait till your prime to start really getting into your music.
But even with me flalling around tryna keep up with all this music, u made your way onto my playlist multiple times when I didn’t think u could. Didn’t think u were there yet, but u proved me wrong so many times.
I don’t have any regrets about how I treated your music, but I am shocked that you’re not gonna be personally giving me more cause i know your vision would only get clearer.
Love u, Juice.
