the history of techno is probably the least talked about or respected of all genres too, people really have no frame of reference for anything to even be able to discuss it. a lot of it isn't really 'artist' or 'project' oriented for people to latch onto and commodify, most of it was designed to be played during sets and mixes as singles and things like that. i don't even think most on this site know who juan atkins is
