    RIP a true icon

its a shame electronic genres like techno get labeled “white people music” by retards on here when there are so many black legends that have their hands in the creation of these genres

i once tried arguing on here that roots of all electronic music were black and mentioned dub and detroit techno as examples and was hit with wUt AbOuT kRaFtWeRk in an INSTANT

    RIP to the Legend.

A few years ago I met DJ Disciple who's from Farragut Projects in Brooklyn just like I am. He put me on to a bunch of the early electronic DJs and artists that really built the scene.

Kenny Carpenter and Strafe who made Set it Off is from there too. Shannon who made Let The Music Play is from around the way too.

Electronic music is black as hell. It probably would've been more accepted if the gospel elements in the music didn't leave it and if it still co-existed with hip hop, but many classic records from NYC are electronic joints from black and brown artists.

This is why I'm glad we got s*** like Dweller out there.

People were arguing with Kevin Saunderson and his fans about this on his own Tiktok videos over the summer.

Talking about it started in Berlin. Pay homage to the originators.
