When did this happen?? Correct, your use of dumb f*** was justified then. Your name just threw me off, apologies.
you got a link?
It happened in 2002. You can search up the 2002 Gujarat Riots to know more about them.BJP was a state party then but it grew in power exponentially since and made a massive PR campaign to clean off the stench off of this and other incidents. Modi won the elections in 2014 and is in power since.
There is like a long documentary too called Final Solution which is banned in India currently:
ALM is a protest towards BLM who were protesting police brutality against black ppl. It's a negation. Like saying we don't care.
This is 2-sided conflict. And she's not taking a side, but is NOT negating the conflict and what it's doing to people. Taking a side should not be necessary in situations like this, especially when you may not have a full understanding of the situation as an outsider.
this is a two sided conflict in the sense that there is oppressor, israel, and the oppressed palestenians. so, there is only one side to take.
Jail the ones who were actually involved, impose a curfew or lockdown to suppress the situation and deploy police to prevent escalation. Give compensation to family of victims, urge your voter-base which consists of mostly Hindus to come in peace and not aid them in retaliating. In reality, he did the exact opposite, he deployed police to help escalate the violence and made inflammatory comments against Muslims. I admit this wouldn't have happened if some dumb f***s from the Muslim community wouldn't have burned the train but as a CM it's his job to stop violence not elevate it. The ground reality is not often reported, I request you to watch this 2 hr documentary on the topic

I appreciate the response. I agree with a lot of what you're saying. at the same time, to me the real question is- how do you resolve the underlying tensions that provoked the godhra incident to begin with?
India isn't a mighty police state that can unilaterally impose its will to snuff out would-be terrorists (and of course, no one wants that either). this is why a lot of views on ethnic violence in india seem incredibly utopian to me- do people really believe that if we simply replace xyz government officials conflicts that stretch back literal centuries will disappear?
What this mean nephew??
Meaning I ain't into that s*** no more
I just didn't want this to detail into a gng thread
While yes, from a history point of view, both sides have done horrible things to each other and their people
HOWEVER, right now, what’s going on is not of those times where you should be like “but both sides!!!”
thanks for this perspective, it was more constructive than the other repliers, I appreciate it
I don't disagree with you but paid rihanna tweets are not the way to fix the issue or even to get western countries to care about it
paid rihanna tweets?
What else has she done? This is all I know of
Some cultural appropriation scandals and playing a sacred song at her lingerie show
Man said Israel is the one facing down terrorism. I couldn’t believe that tweet was real when I saw it
GO TO BED ALPHA, weather is nice af tomorrow
Nephew I ain’t gon lie I just popped one yerd me. It’s gon be a LONG night.
Wow I missed this but this changes everything I thought I liked about him. I'm going to throw up

tbh, I know that Palestine gets the wrong end of the stick, especially from Western media, due to racism
I just also know that they aint perfect either
Still don't agree that this statement is akin to supporting ALM.

"they aint perfect either'
uhm, they are responding to aggression of the highest degree lol.
This is a hilariously terrible tweet
Any celeb taking a neutral stance on this is merely exposing them as a coward or protecting their brand. The issue is as black and white as it comes.
But then again, we shouldn't any expectations from celebrities.

that's fair
idk, I try to see both sides (yall can yell at me for this, but I don't believe I'm in the wrong for wanting to hear different perspectives)
one thing for sure, nothing gonna change with the US govmt's pro-Israel stance, because of the existing power dynamics between Jews and Muslims in the states
that's fair

and what im telling you there is not two sides in this
This is an "all lives matter" energy and negates the issue at hand. She should just stfu if she isn't gonna actually show support to the people being oppressed
and what im telling you there is not two sides in this
there always 2 sides to a coin, unless it's math, 2+2=4, quick maths
that's fair

this is not a Jews vs. Muslims war
Jews do not support this genocide
this is a literal ethnic cleansing
there is no “see both sides”
