The ppl posting dms are coming off as more opportunitisitc than anything else. Cringe and inappropriate? Yeah.
Relevant to the court case? Don't see how those two are linked
I see your point but like, they were young af and maybe now they feel they can talk about it?

That seems to be the standard story every time tho right? Maybe we should start reserving the " now I feel comfortable after x news has broken" to ppl who were actual victims/survivors of in person incidents rather than "famous man sent cringe inappropriate messages to me and this is my moment to clout shark"
Also as a society especially in the past 3 years we have made it so incredibly normalized and appropriate to speak out about men in power abusing that power. So the "now they feel comfortable" thing for cringe dms that, if they were a regular Andy, wouldn't even make a blip, I feel is a distraction/clouty exercise
Again, cringe and inappropriate? Yes. Relevant to what started this? Not even close.
Local drunk assh *le said inappropriate things while drunk isn't particularly moving the needle

I was listening to a podcast the other day where a true crime of over 40 years was solved because the witness/victim spoke up
She said she was so scared of dude retaliating that she waited until he died to come forward; he would visit her every now and then to threaten here and even when he stopped, the fear of his visits were looming over her
I just think it's more complicated than opportunity sometimes

.....where in what I said would I disagree with that story you told??
I said explicitly that in person actions towards victims should be treated with a much higher priority than "oh no he sent me cringe dms that I held on too that prove he's a drunk assh *le"

Because we do not know what goes on behind the scenes between perpetrator and victim
What you say as opportunistic is actually just... opportunity

You TRULY think with the dms that have been exposed that these women are holding on to their biggest trump card just waiting for the opportunity to come out with a story like "yeah so after he sent me cringe dms I gave him my address and THEN he was rough/terrible with me"?
Of course we don't know what goes on. But all we have is a court case with very little detail, and two women who said he was inappropriate in DMs while admitting that he was drunk during them.
As an audience to this event we also have an amount of power we wield. A part of that includes fanning the flames of stories like this. I'm saying let's stick to what we know to be undisputed fact for now and treat it appropriately
Edit: I said u were making things up but I deleted that cuz that's super uncharitable to u.

I completely agree with you and I think that is very poignant. As spectators we should merely spectate
I brought up the original story because a lot of people did not believe her. They also asked her Why wait?
Now when I view these cases from a spectator's point of view, I simply think We don't and may never know the full picture
But to your question and to quote you, I do think power would allow for the scenario you described to happen; I think it's plausible

I think you're right. It is plausible that something more untoward could have happened. This may not be the end of ppl coming forward.
And ur correct that an audience should spectate as well.
My main issue was the women who have come forward with only dms and nothing else (typically you play your best card/hand/what have you first) are imo very very clout sharky. And I know for a fact that one of those women (not the 16 yr old) is a big virtue signaler and only speaks when it benefits her. So if I'm applying the same sort of charitablity to the women I also should apply an even amount of skepticism until more is known. But ppl foaming at the mouth over the messages as if that is in ANY way more damming than the initial claim that was made in a court of law are absolutely insane and should be ignored.
I apologize if I came in a lil bit towards you.
I literally don’t care about the character or motives of these women
The way that he was talking to minors is totally unacceptable
So unfortunate man.
Was a big fan of Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites, and High On Life.
Crazy to see that it's all going to come to an end like this . Like how hard is it to just not be a s***ty human being ?!?!
I was just getting into solar opposites
What a f***ing weirdo

It shows his character as a person lol

Because they're in fear of people like you bashing them and telling them they're lying/looking for clout
Idk why they even had to post the DMS the nigga already got the felony it's over for him.
It shows his character as a person lol
The court case shows his character. Those dms don't add anything but entertain and fan the public opinion. Who here didn't think Justin had a drinking problem and was kind of an a******? What do those dms show but that
Because they're in fear of people like you bashing them and telling them they're lying/looking for clout
Are you okay?? Did you even read what I wrote? I care about the fact that he assaulted a woman. Being a f***ing cringe loser in DMs is not even on the same scope as what happened to her
I clearly separated the two in what I said and you clearly ignored it.
