This is 10 billion percent the worst season of Rick and Morty

Definitely the best episode of the season.

Too bad this season has been mid.

Feels like they start strong and then kinda fall off midway through the season and pick up right before the mid ass finale

Maybe this show is just not as good as people imagine it to be

that episode almost made up for whatever the f*** rickdependence spray was

crazy to me people don't like this season

best one since 2 imho

a few eps have kinda just been versions of things they've done before but for the most part i think they've done the key things well: interesting sci fi concept plus actually having jokes while retaining some emotional stingers in places.

imo the sperm ep was good exactly because they leaned into how stupid the whole concept is!!

i for one actually really enjoy this season and wish it wasnt ending, not looking forward to waiting a year for new rick and morty

I just caught up and these are my thoughts:

"Mort Dinner Rick Andre"

I like the Morty main plot with the portal, not a fan of Rick's subplot with Mr. Nimbus, I rarely find their weird sexual jokes funny. Wish Morty's love life wasn't so tragic lol.

"Mortyplicity"

Classic silly nonsense Rick & Morty. It's over the top and meta but just the right way. Entertaining.

"A Rickconvenient Mort"

My least favorite episode of the entire show. They tried to go emotional but the writing wasn't good enough. The episode was predictable and the emotional beats felt rushed and unearned. Also the Rick subplot wasn't funny. Only good thing about this is Alison Brie.

"Rickdependence Spray"

This episode was ok. Not too funny but I like episodes with the President.

"Amortycan Grickfitti"

I'm a bigger fan of the Morty-Summer-spaceship plot than the Beth-Jerry-Rick plot. Ship plot made me laugh and Jerry plot was just fine.

"Rick & Morty's Thanksploitation Spectacular"

Favorite episode of the season so far. I like episodes with the President and him and Rick had a nice dynamic throughout the episode. Love the overly complicated turkey plot and the fact that it's been done before. Also a fan of army movie parodies. This one is cheesy too but in a good way.

"Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion"

Mixed thoughts. I like the combination of mecha anime and mafia movies, it's creative. For an anime parody, it wasn't anime enough for me, despite being over the top. I did like that they referenced back to the giant incest baby and how it was used.

"Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort"

This is a good episode. Episode 8 tends to be a serious one and I indeed took this episode seriously. Love some Birdperson lore and some past Rick lore and I like that the family didn't interrupt the story. It's 100% fanservice but it had heart.

My main issue with this season is too much meta jokes and self references and maybe it's too ironic too. Not quite the charm of the first few seasons but it's still good overall and that's rare for a 5th season of a show so I'm not mad. I'm just not 16 anymore that might be why I don't love it as much.

Had no idea people rank season 3 so low

S4 is a mixed bag but s3 has this extremely grating and not at all subtle attempt at meta commentary every ep and its really annoying
