I like it overall and maybe the last bit will change my mind but Im not sure Saros improves upon Returnal in any department. The implementation of the new systems and play mechanics isn't as seamless as I was expecting. The writing here hits higher highs but the rogue-liteness messes with the overall pacing and lessens the story's impact. It might be time for Housemarque to make a straight ahead action-adventure game with an established IP.
Last biome being kinda boring and the ending being semi-confusing might've brought this game down to a "B/B+ for me*. I have a smidge of regret for buying at launch but also expect to revisit it after a major update/dlc.
*Jumping right into Hades 2 probably didn't help either.
Pains me to see Saros likely never go to PC, this game is built to be played with a Mouse and Keyboard

It's a bizarre move for Sony. It's not like it's a system seller.
The update looks cool but, after going even deeper into the Hades 2 endgame, I kinda think Housemarque/Sony was pushing it charging $70 for this.

They are in an odd spot doing no PC ports of any kind when they make games that would do well on it. Not even doing timed exclusives . Because a year later a lot of these games arent selling consoles
Nah 30+ years is a normal run for a CEO
well yeah same as Ted Price Insomniac just will be interesting if can see the changes after they leave or if they have it together either way
