I cant front, a resident evil 5 remake with the gameplay mechanics of the 2 & 3 remake would be nuts.
Personally I think Village, since it has a similar lore to re4, was a test run for re4 remake. Remake is really going to shine in this engine cant wait
Village was not a “test run for RE4 remake”
what in the f*** are you on
I bought RE4 for PS4 and played some of it, just got past the part in a lake with a big fish you have to shoot hooks in. Do they change enough in these games to justify me finishing it? Or should I just wait for the remake?

I get it yall disagree. Cool beans I'm entitled to an opinion just like everyone else. Maybe it's wrong fine idc. The lore in village is clearly inspired by re4 and then re4 remake is their next game so why is it so far out of the realm of possibility that village helped them get creatively back into that particular art style and lore for what will undoubtedly be a bigger more ambitious project.
Yall took it way too literally or maybe I didn't explain what I meant well enough but either way it is what it is

If it’s anything like RE 2/3 remakes they’ll change quite a bit, definitely still worth playing through the og especially since we’re almost a year out

Damn the horror genre is making a BIG come back in 2023 and I'm all in IT.
Waiting for that SH reveal, it would be perfect at this point.

Idk why they acting brand new I guarantee the ganados will be very similar to the Lycans and I wouldn’t doubt them having damn near identical animations. 8 was directly inspired by 4 niggas just playing dumb

It’s going to be very hard to top the og, game is amazing and definitely worth beating especially with almost a year wait for the remake

Exactly then after I explained why I said what I said they both got quiet of course lol
So is the voice actor for Leon in this the same as from RE2R?
Is this game a continuation of that? (As in, the remake universe is a separate, self-contained universe).

Capcom boutta make so much money with RE4R it’s crazy
nigga deadass Capcom the greatest developer of all time. They have a multitude of classic games and all there new games the past like 4 years been classics (other than RE3 Remake but it was still okay)

mfs hate on RE3make but the actual game was great. Just wayyyy too short
I've played through RE 4 on three seperate consoles throughout the years.
PS2
Wii
Xbox One
And best believe i will be purchasing this day one on PS5. It's amazing how well this game has aged and still holds up

love RE but never played RE4 until 2 years ago. lot of people would call that mf “”dated””” but imo it’s still more fun than many games today just off the insanely high creative + aesthetic value it holds. that’s my opinion, but it can also be measured somewhat objectively by the number of action adventure/horror hybrids that followed its formula in the years following its release.
