i mean its a good few hours but RE2 and RE4 clear RE3 easy

they cut so much out of 3 but.. ngl i like it. but i’m biased since I only ever seen gameplay of RE3 OG. never played it myself.

The game itself isn't bad, good even. It just had the potential to be a top tier RE and they half assed a lot of it/cut s*** out when they should have used the opportunity to expand RE3. It's a "what could have been..." situation.

Love what they did with Jill though she needs to come back.

Just beat RE2 Remake which is the first Resident Evil game I have ever played. I'm probably in the minority but I thought it was very mid. I thought it would be faster and scarier and have more action but it felt slow and underwhelming. I didn't really get much satisfaction out of it. Watching people play Requiem looks cooler, at least watching Leon's combat, but I don't know if I would like Requiem if I didn't like RE2 Remake.

Play RE4. sounds like you'd be more into the action horror style and that one is front and center with that style. RE2 is more of a survival horror. RE4 is a lot of people's favorite for a reason. RE5 is apparently excellent in co-op mode; that's another frantically paced one

3 remake will probably just be more of 2 for you. If you have gamepass, try it out for free but I'd go straight to 4 remake

4 unshackles the tighter environments and is basically a series of unbelievably satisfying, fun, anxiety/dread fuelled combat scenarios with some puzzles. It's a lot faster paced than 2 and instead of dark hallways, it's a lot of open spaces that allow you to run and manoeuvre around while you figure your plan/path around the enemies

Has some of my fav gunplay in any game, with parries and snappy ASMR level satisfying combat. The environments are sooo cool, the story is like a goated B movie. The setting is really unique. The enemy designs are all timers

Nope not at all You don't need to play any of them before 4 but if any, it works to play 2 before it so you're already covered. People see 2, 4 and 9 as a trilogy.

In a complete re mood after finishing requiem. Ended up going back and getting the platinum for re2r and re3r. About to start up RE revelations for the first time

RE3 is a little faster-paced and more action heavy than Re2, if you already have it I would highly recommend it as others have said though, either way you gotta play 4 as well
