I found out the first I tried was resident evil 2. And u was hooked from day ine. I cant belive I solved all those puzzles as a 5 year old. There was no googling anything back then too.

the gameplay and everything is so similar to RE2 remake that the hate never made sense in the first place

It just feels like a b-game compared to 2, that’s why. It’s fine on its own, it just isn’t as well designed, and leaves a significant chunk of the OG out.

Also, I feel like Nemesis doesn’t hit as hard, even compared to X in 2 (and Nemesis is supposed to be THE big bad of that game).

We could legit have the greatest RE game and one of the greatest survival horror games ever in just 11 days

I was disappointed in the map design and nemesis. In re2 everything is connected until you get the underground labs. Also MR x is continually chasing you. In re 3 they cut off parts of the map and Nemesis feels like he's only an event thing instead of something constantly chasing you like Mr x.

It feels like a glorified dlc and capcom realizes they fumbled the bag that’s why they almost instantly put it on sale and combined it with 2 for a cheaper price

Look at the reception of the Dead Space Remake, and this looks to be going above and beyond.

OG Dead Space is a really good game, but RE4 is an all-time great.

I’m playing through RE2 remake for the first time ever (never played the OG) and this s*** is true survival horror, Mr. X had me SHOOK in the police station. Can’t wait for RE4 next week
