Few reasons:
1. Weeknd was everywhere in 2020 and 2021, this site is notorious for turning on artists once they reach a certain level of popularity (besides Drake).
2. Gunna outsold it first week so it became a running joke for the sales obsessed users on here.
3. The album wasn’t as popular overall as After Hours, so they used that as “evidence” of the album not being very good.
4. It was his most dance/pop leaning album thus far, and this site is filled with Trilogy truthers
I've got no dog in this fight but I really do think none of his other projects come close to the work on Trilogy. A lot of that's just carried by the production, but it makes a big difference
Thought it was a solid album, really liked the production a lot. Don’t get why it got so much hate, wouldn’t say it was Weeknd’s best work but it still was dope imo

Trilogy is elite, once in a lifetime level music. But it also is very raw and slightly rough around the edges, which is expected considering it was his debut work.
Dawn FM is a masterclass in pop production & songwriting, and is flawlessly sequenced and executed. I understand everyone has opinions, but I really don’t get how someone who enjoys pop/dance music wouldn’t be absolutely in love with that album
After Hours was much better but this album is still great.
Gasoline
Don’t break my heart
Here we go again
Out of time
I heard you’re married
Less than zero
How do I make you love me
For me, After Hours has the higher highs, but as an overall package Dawn FM clears it
Don’t break my heart >
Elite
The one song here that deserved a video and didn’t get one
Actually, just remembered Less Than Zero didn’t get one either
Don't Break my Heart beat and synths 😭😭😭 the way it builds up the layers
That cadence he was singing in too
Amazing album still on rotation
Kissland for the second phase of the weeknds career (his pop stuff)
