Sony is bringing their games to more audiences, Microsoft is keeping their games on their own platforms (windows and Xbox)

Not hard to see how that’s different

This is a horrible precedent. Xbox gonna go on to buy ea and Ubisoft and then alll the great multiplatform games are gonna be Xbox exclusives

I don't want Sony buying huge publishers like Zenimax either lol, that was my point, I don't think mass consolidation in general leads to "competition", though it's inevitable in any industry.

Like I said though, when strictly talking about the Zenimax buy out, they were gonna get bought out no matter what and microsoft was probably the "least bad" option so
