some of the obsecure/niche subreddits are pretty cool

  • this is not an alt

    Only Reddit ppl thinks this

    i don't have a reddit

  • framing being a feminist as a negative

  • shimmy

If you don’t say safe opinions that everyone agree with then your posts don’t even get seen. If you aren’t a 35 year old feminist virgin don’t even bother with that site

Bra this is literally the whole internet after 2017 more or less lol at this point s*** kinda wearing off though

A lot of the subs are over moderated to hell.

It’s so bad that like a quarter of posts are ended with “remove if this is not allowed” after someone makes a post that fits the sub’s subject matter perfectly.

There is also definitely a lot of group think and if you don’t match a sub’s hivemind you’ll get downvoted.

It’s a cool place to stay informed and get information but it’s not good for real discussion and debate and you can thank the upvote system for that.

I've seen redditors praise the upvote system, despite how very flawed it is. There's a reason why only Reddit uses it.

  • Never seen a KTTer with this opinion before

it's the echo chamber of it all. mods know the most upvoted things will reinforce the central ideas of the sub.

  • its not too bad.. there's a lot of topics I want more discussions on here but this site doesn't have enough users for that.

  • Just reading the comments on r/homeless and r/urbancarliving posts is so demoralizing. The OP could be on the brink of death and a Redditor will comment, "Well, have you searched for a job?"

  • r/ktt

  • i asked them about why sitting in a certain corner of my living room gives me ear pressure and they helped

and im sure youre all guilty of googling something with "reddit" in the search

so nope, im gonna say its pros are more than its cons.

  • the more AI takes over the more GOATED reddit comments from a post made in 2014 are gonna be

  • Reddit is the breeding ground for racist liberals

Also why do redditers always comment in threads with a anecdote about themselves

It could be a thread about fixing a car and someone will comment

"Ahh that car reminds me of the road trips my uncle used to take with us to the niagara falls"

Who tf asked you for your life story

Reddit doesn't even feel like a forum. Discord feels more like a forum frfr.

    This actually true lmao

  • Redditors have this sense of superiority that really pisses you off and I've seen this is across all the communities. The upvote system really does something to ppl mindset. Like on ktt it doesn't get more than couple dozen likes typically and that seems grounded but on reddit some mf gets a hundred, thousands likes and that's purely bc Reddit is a big platform and folks there gonna think there's a hundred people is backing them, an army some s***

And where most social medias posts are just posts they are just individuals talking but Reddit is always a discussion. That also adds to people there becoming argumentative

Which all adds to why it easily can become echo chamber and an even ground for irl losers. It's why mfs there are often out of touch
