So weird that you guys are so much more worried about stars becoming superstars than supporting & sharing smaller independent artists actually doing interesting work like musically
the way certain users get on their high horse when it comes to discussing R&B on here is so funny
I take R&B very seriously
im not disagreeing, im just saying you dont really need a strong voice to make good r&b
This is true, The-Dream got a classic trilogy
I gotta listen to more music because me and several others enjoy the r&b acts that are out rn?
Comparing those you named to those who were on when r&b was bigger yes you should, you’ll see the difference
A nigga named Cookies should not be discussing R&B
what about certified lover boy coochie man
Ella Mai coulda been the one but she fumbled the bag heavy
How did she fumbled the bag?
The songs that made him a superstar are pop songs, which is why people says he transitioned to pop
He doesn’t only make it, but that’s what the world knows him for
i get that, but people wanna act like weeknd is 100% pop which i expect better from here. he hasn't totally moved from rnb, his lead single from AH heartless is a clear r&b song with little to no pop undertones.
i also brought up that recently jhene aiko moved from rnb to pop and these guys are denying it
bryson tiller is no more rnb than weeknd is as well.
How did she fumbled the bag?
She didn’t, her album is coming this year
which one
Idk, but a lot of them use that same pop drum pattern. I love After Hours, but I'd consider that more pop/synthpop than RnB. But it's pretty much accepted that Weeknd is Pop and R&B anymore anyway

Chris Brown is one of the most successful artists out there. Sure, he makes all kinds of music but he's still an R&B artist
