Honestly that generation producing no stars is why they still don’t really have real star power post Cena till this day outside of like Reigns Wyatt and Bryan
They failed a lot of those 07-09 guys tbh
Also when they lost me fr

Miz having a more successful career than John Morrison still blows my mind
WWE did Dolph Ziggler dirty, man should’ve been a WWE champion
Ziggler f***ed himself, plenty of times he could have left to go to places like Japan and make something of himself but he was happy to take the money and make other guys look great with his selling.
If he had only taken a chance on himself, now his brother’s getting featured more on AEW on TNT then Ziggler is on Smackdown.

The perfect epitome of the biggest difference between their focus in the 80’s and 90’s vs the 2010’s and beyond

It definitely should've been him

That’s all Vince. After he put all his stock into Brock Lesnar and Brock bounced in 2004 to be an NFL player, Vince stopped making the wrestlers the biggest stars and focused on making the brand itself the biggest star. Instead of making those guys stars, he made sure none of them got bigger then WWE itself. It’s why CM Punk quit when he was the biggest star in the company and Vince refused to make him the top star and wanted him to job out to the old guys like Taker, HHH and Rock.
It’s worked tho, WWE’s never been more profitable with billion dollar tv/streaming deals, their stock prize is the highest it’s ever been despite the ratings being at their lowest and the creative being worse then ever.
