@OP one thing that will really help you substantiate this argument is looking into the lifestyle/health of humans who lived as hunter-gatherers

there is a lot of evidence suggesting that they had more leisure time, were healthier by almost every metric, had better diets, etc.

the main point in favor of modern humans is life expectancy, but there is evidence that if a human survived infancy, they would on average live until their 60s. so the difference is primarily proper infant care

the other thing is modern convenience/luxuries which is a really interesting discussion on its own

I think the best argument is that there are ways for us to have modern technology, medicine etc. without having a global capitalist behemoth that alienates us in the way youre describing
