thread title is great bait tho

i think op could be more explicit w what he means and lets have another socialism session

This isnt about socialism either nigga

Why do you niggas think every critique of capitalism is socialism

Im talking about going beyond arbitrary economic systems

i think there is an interesting point of conversation to be had that when op talks about essentially indigeneity with respect to land and people the average persons assumption is "live in the woods in grass skirts and eat s***"

like wtf no indigenous societies all around the world were highly technologically and socially advanced especially in comparison to the euro western societies of the same time periods.

like hawaii had a 99% literacy rate and most people were trilingual in english french and native hawaiian while also being able to share the land and take care of everybody before american businessmen couped the government to grow pineapples and macademia nuts.

now you have a 6x higher chance of being shot to death by police as a minority in hawaii than the mainland and poverty rates are literally genocoding kanaka maoli populations as the us military poisons their drinking water.

    Maybe serfdom had something right

  • Feb 22, 2022

@op poverty is based on access and use of resources. Living in the tropicals w/o shelter is just bougie homeless, pimpin

What I'm saying is there is no reason humans should have to live in dirty ass shacks or run down ass apartments when the beauty of the earth is right there

If not living in nature then having a standard of living that doesnt cause a blemish on the Earth

  • Feb 22, 2022

It all began 7000 years ago in what we now know as southern Iraq…

no im w u on this this is beyond socialism

but most people dont understand indigeneity beyond the colonizer psychological understanding which is why youve got so much reaction going on

    fun guy

    obviously hes not implying that

theres plenty of land and resources to sustain everyone on Earth

but its owned by capitalists aka the ultra small minority

    scarcity is artificial

maybe you shouldn't base society around profit and individual greed

OP says poverty is a veil on the "natural beauty of earth" and brings up the freedom of animals in nature, he's clearly positioning a "return to nature" as a way to fix that solution imo

  • Feb 22, 2022

    OP said poverty a choice

  • Feb 22, 2022

Y’all are getting really f***ing good at saying a whole lot of nothing

  • Feb 22, 2022

    yeah

    overpopulation is a myth too
we have enough resources for everyone

i guess that’s kinda what you’re already saying but people can’t use that as an excuse

fifty be so so close to the point and then end up missing the mark horribly.

    you ever read braiding sweetgrass?

  • Feb 22, 2022

Like we as humans have survived on this planet for thousands of years without living life according to the capitalist means of doing something because we as evolutionary animals are able to adapt to our situations

Industrial Revolution was one of the worst things to ever happen ngl

  • Feb 22, 2022

    So it’s essentially:

Live life according to your income

Or live life according to your survival

That's not at all what I'm implying

Again, humans were able to survive and sustain themselves for thousands of years before modern capitalism without destroying the beauty of the earth that we have now

That's not the point im trying to make

I'm saying all the tools and resources we need to live in the beauty of the earth is right there but its locked away behind the false shield of poverty

Do you see monkeys and squirrels and s*** living ghettos and slums?

yes. do u think monkeys really enjoy looking behind their backs for survival? squirrels being forced to finding a 'nut' or getting ran over?

Have u ever seen a bird nest nigga and marvel like
I would love to build my own one day?
    wake up!

Reality is a myth created by humans

    this but unironically

  • Feb 22, 2022

There's a reason Climate Change started becoming an issue after modern Capitalism

The way humans live now is not sustainaible to the Earth cause we're not supposed to be doing the s*** that we're doing

If economic classes and human greed didn't exist there'd be a way for humans to live in harmony with the Earth

It was actually very common for humans to die very early (like teens and early twenties) back in Antiquity
