Drake vs Kendrick being numbers based could have had a bad effect

Hell JT just cooked tf outta Cardi on a diss track a couple months ago and cardi got it removed and then claimed she didn’t have to respond cuz the streams were low, that says it all

Drake and his stans ruined mainstream rap battles, now you risk being sued and having an army of stans crying about how the deep state fixed it

They got it burnt the f*** out for sure

One day someone will do a case study on how Drake survived two astronomical battles. Given the landscape though, it’s really not as surprising as you think. Because there no longer exist any central pipelines to music like they did when radio and tv were running things and you have access to all of recorded music in your pocket, at the end of the day, no matter the circumstances, if you already like Drake, you’re probably still gonna listen to Drake because you have access to his music whenever and wherever you want so it really doesn’t matter. Everything has become niche. It’s why Hip Hop being in the top 40 doesn’t matter because niggas is really just listening to whatever the f*** they want to listen to. That’s the beauty of the internet and why Drake, despite the embarrassment, is still quite insulated from it.

Talking about the battle like it was some assassination attempt is part of the problem

Yes Kendrick stomped him out, but it was literally just a battle

Niggas acting like Drake got physically beaten to death and had a near death experience

Niggas just got rapped at better then he rapped at Kendrick

C’mon now, We can’t sit here and act like this s*** was some smack DVD barbershop battle. The objective here was not to prove who was the better rapper, that became quickly apparent in the Kendrick beef alone. The nail
In the coffin in the Pusha battle was the literal revelation that Drake was hiding a child 😂 This 100% was not about rap.

50 Cent/New York being fake asf versus Ja Rule had SEVERELY distorted the way people view rap battles.

Most rap battles dont end careers. New York deciding to turn their backs on Ja Rule is an exception not the norm.

Cannibus being another one who career ended with a battle but

Most rappers who been in beefs had a career afterwards

Besides Drake egging it on with social media posts it was literally just song links and reactions

This might’ve been one of the tamest rap battles EVER when it comes to just Kendrick and Drake

Yes Drake got insulted to death during the battle and continues to today, but that’s really the only consequence, besides the millions he’s wasting on this lawsuit but that’s on him

The fact all of this attitude over the battle comes down to the fact Kendrick was “too mean” is incredibly soft and shows why there is a clear difference between stans of Drake and fans of hiphop

“UMG orchestrated a plan for Kendrick to be A BIG MEANIE to Drake thank God Drake survived” is some participation trophy s***

    Drake lost

Canibus was never going to survive as a legacy because of his style of rapping and where rap was headed and isn’t he the nigga who had to pull out a note pad mid battle later in his career?

    Nigga did it to himself

Maybe don’t hide a child and talk crazy about people?

Niggas just supposed to ignore obvious flaws during a rap battle for what?
