Drake came back after Scorpion and having adjusted to fatherhood with Adonis and still made music about manipulating broke college girls. I'll never understand it, but I dig it.
He has several bars about Adonis/being a father on CLB, what are you going on about? He rapped about Adonis on Lemon Pepper Freestyle as well, even rapped about him on the Jack Harlow feature. Try again.
Saying Pusha isn’t a good rapper because all he does is rap coke bars is like saying a carpenter isn’t a master at his craft because all he uses is wood.
Pusha is a master of his craft because of his coke bars.
The man has a million ways to say he sold coke and all of them are potent. I haven’t heard a corny one yet.

Surface level TO YOU. The point is that he has rapped about being a father several times since that change happened in his life, which is my whole point.
Pusha drops once every 4 years and missed an opportunity to talk about some real, significant s*** that's happened in his life since his last album and I think that's wack. I don't know why you're so upset about me thinking that. I never said he shouldn't rap about coke. I just think he could have said more on this album.

Don't brag bricks to me
If they ain't tell you to bring your ski's
Open Air sounds like something straight from HHNF
Facts I feel like this album lowkey a return to that unorthodox Pharrell/clipse sound while still keeping that Kanye aesthetic, s*** wavy fasho
Only bad thing about this album is the Ye verses
Except Future doesn't just make songs about being toxic, Drake doesn't just make songs about heartbreak and loneliness and Hov doesn't just make songs about being a d*** dealer. All three artists have catalog that are way more vast that Pusha's catalog and they've covered a lot more things in their respective catalogs than Pusha Has. 98% of Pusha's catalog is coke/drug-dealing talk, something he himself has admitted to several times. You can't say those other dudes have only rapped about ONE THING for 98% of their catalog. That's the difference.
My point wasn't even that he shouldn't rap about coke on this album. That's obviously his niche but I just thought that with him getting married/becoming a father/losing both parents as closely together as he did, that those things would inspire other things he could rap about in addition to all the coke talk and I'm just disappointed he didn't tap into those topics at all. That's really just it.
I'm not saying the album is bad as a result. I think he went 9/12 on the album.
Out of all 3 artists named here Hov's s*** is the only one thats really vast like that.
Future as of late has been leaning into the toxicity super heavy to the point where he's doing music videos with Kevin Samuels. We all see it. His subject matter is usually either some street s*** or him leaning into the toxic masculinity / misogynistic side of hip hop tropes. No one complains cuz we all enjoy the music.
And yes Drake has been rapping about the same s*** for 98% of his career. Drake is either doing his canadian Michael Corleone act or doing the heart broken rich guy act except now that he's older and still rapping / singing to college girls it's giving " Weird Beige Sugar Daddy" vibes. Lowkey his career got an extra boost because of the Meek Mill beef cuz that was when mainstream rap audiences found out he had it in him to make full blown diss records.
The majority of this mans catalogue is the same s*** lmao
Make Me Proud (2011) and NIce For What (2018) are both damn near the same song subject wise, two anthems made to gas women up while theyre taking selfies for Instagram

I’m convinced at this point that you got a bag laced with some other s*** one time and now you’re taking your s*** out on Push as a proxy for that backyarder dealer that hurt you.
Pharrell has LTSSTC on his list, he’s good.
Plus he did all his dolo and co produced one with ye. Only solo ye beat is dreaming (which) us fire.
Everything else he got help
