This album doesn’t sound dark enough for me. The Pharrel production is just not agreeing with how I like to hear pusha. He sounds way way better when the beats are more crafted towards his surgical style of rapping. My name is my name, Daytona are miles ahead of this for my taste personally
Agree on first listen. Not cohesive and feel like it's P that's not doing his part
Oh I stand corrected
It's a good album, I just wanted some personal bars this time around.
Nah Don and Uzi did great too on it
Sounds out of place on the album but it's not bad just kinda mediocre
and neither does Push
All Pusha raps about is coke and being a d*** dealer. There's nothing wrong with that but why he'll never be Hov level is that Hov doesn't just rap about coke or d***-dealing. The album could have been a lot stronger if he got personal. We've all heard the coke bars before and it's not like he says anything mind-blowing with the lines on here. It's just more coke bars over good beats. After a 4 year break, that's not enough.
I’m sending Mexicans to your location for this.
You wish you knew where I was.

Found the surface level listener
Ahhhh I'm seeing both later, was it fire?
Story didn’t blow me away but it was serviceable
Pedro pascal and nic cage more then made up for that tho, their comedic timing was great. It’s worth a watch
Found the surface level listener
There's nothing deep about these bars, don't deceive yourself.
I love the album but it really misses only some "Yugh" or Ric Flair's "Wooo" here and there
Naitch is ready to sue Push if he mentions him again.
He made it clear around New God Flow that he doesn’t want Push mentioning him in his songs without sending him residuals. He even put pressure on Killer Mike to his face about it.

The album literally starts off with a diss to his ex - manager
That's not even getting into his other songs in his catalogue
"America, you need a miracle
Beyond spiritual
I need a realer view
I hold a mirror to it
These ain’t new problems, they just old ways
I see one time turn sunshine into Freddie Gray
Just another nigga dead, just another nigga dead
Send another to the FEDs, send another to the FEDs
Not guilty, still I’m filthy
In FOX eyes, we the dark side
So they tell you lies
Through a TV, C-N-B-C
C-N-N, Don Lemon, no Kweli when you meet me
In order to be me
You gotta see what Chief Keef see
Brenda’s baby next door to the candy lady
Same project as Candy Man where they still doing hand-in-hands
Sunday to Sunday, pastor only want one day
Grandma praying someday
But God can’t hear it over gun play
Woo! Still a target, but the badge is the new noose
Yeah, we all see it, but cellphones ain’t enough proof
So we still lose"
Coke bars for sure

Didn't know that. That's crazy, but maybe he's right if he's asking a reasonable price. After all it's his trademark scream

Coke bars for sure
Every song has coke bars and that's my point. Everything relates to selling coke at the end of the day so how doesn't that support my point? Of course every single line won't be about coke but it all relates to him being a d*** dealer and that's what makes his music one-dimensional.

wild cause the P beats seem leagues above the Ye ones for me
