Do you see Baby get as big as Travis was at his hottest point?

I'm asking because I always saw Trav as the closest to ever reach Drizz, Dot, Cole level of stardom/notoriety post 2015.

    DaBaby fumbled and Roddy fumbled
So it’s Lil Baby for now and Doja

Either of them are crossing over into other genres well

Drake and Kendrick practically walked into R&B, rap, and pop simultaneously while Baby and Nas can do one, maybe two at best

There are barely any new pop “superstars” Def none left in rap. Just too many options. Artist can’t grab that much attention anymore.

  • Feb 21, 2022

Why, so he can take them for everything their worth. Stay independent

It’s sad how far rap has fallen. I really thought it would get better after the SoundCloud rap era.

I have a working theory that rap is so large now with so many sub genres, that we won’t see a clear cut number one ever again like Drake.

As far as superstars go, the talent is there. It’s just a matter of who can put everything together.

I’m starting to believe this too, I think we’re reaching the end of the major superstar era, their are so many sub-genres that artists can fit in and so much accessibility for them to find their audience that they don’t really need to make radio records to become huge.

Cloud rap era was cool but some of those niggas didnt give a single f*** about lyrics lol

  • i've heard nas x & doja complain about not being respected as rappers, that's what happens when you play more towards that side of the rope. one thing about drake is that he has balance.

  • tyler is up next. travis would be a given but that nigga is benched hard rn

  • Feb 21, 2022

    Tyler
    Baby
    Megan
Travis (despite everything but will depend on if he can bounce back)

are the only other rap stars right now

    Doja & Nas are pop
Dababy had the juice but his whole situation tarnished him
