If a city was well designed around the individual you wouldn’t need to use any sort of transportation to access things that you need in your daily life outside of a commute or going out for the day

The only reason people travel such long distances of public transportation in the US is because those distances are scaled to factor in suburbs and cars

Public Transportation takes away ones Manhood. It's cool for a minute but when u really gotta get somewhere, don't waste your time.

Now you're also being codependent on society to aid you in gettin u somewhere. It's a service and not an absolute solution.

The point isn’t necessarily to eliminate cars since they have a niche function but there’s absolutely no need for them to be an every day part of our life

i think it should be pushed as a good alternative. If i want to take my girl on a date, I should have a car to do so. But for my daily 9-5 should just let me get there by train cause I'm not really carrying s*** lol

I used to take public transport to school everyday since i was like 10 years old. I always took a train and they work great and allow you to cross large distances well.

But when I started going to uni in an area with only bus and tram connections near it I started getting disillusioned to pt since it took me an hour and a half to get to school when it only took 40 minutes to drive. And since I got my license I haven't gone back since.

Sure you can reduce anything into its base materials. Vehicles are engineering marvels.
