Bro you can flip anything if there is hype lol

I honestly think this thing might bomb but maybe people will bend into the digital future now for a bit more performance. Which is Sony's hope.

Digital consoles been around all gen, I don't think the performance of this SKU will matter. Truth is gamers are 70-80% digital now

Paying more for getting less on principle seems to be turning off people. Like Macbook pros with literally no integrated ports except two usb cs. I bought it and regretted it.I know they changed that.

The console here in Canada is $1000. Then youre asking all the people who still buy physicals, to pony up and pay more if you want to get any benefit for the library you already own for a console you would already be buying.
I am an outlier though because i still do buy physicals and have regretted buying some of the games i have digitally.

Pro machines to me should be all encompassing.

As a pc player its hypocritical of me but its a much more open platform with way more options to maintain your library of games.

Sony can literally wipe out a game from existence ala Concord even if you never opted to delete the game. You most likely will have very little control over that.

We'll see if the performance is worth the price to loss ratio.

Unfortunately this is the future consumers have voted for with their wallets.

Concord is a poor example since it's an on online-only game.

I have to realise I'm an outlier old man that still buys physicals of anything when I can. Even own a bluray player.

For Nintendo I realized I liked having physical. Also because I regret not being able to return trash ass Super Smash Bros with it's trash ass online. Literally bought it and never played it because it's online is so ass for a fighting game.

I guess in the grand scheme of things I'll tell myself I'll replay that old ass game, but will I? So will losing access to our media really matter? We can just move on to the billion of other things right?

    There is Gamer Gate

then there is also whatever this is that justifies everything a corporate entity does and I say that as someone who works for one who got taken off looking at API because I damn near cussed out the predatory monetization team

they dont give a f***a bout you kabel they dont even boot up the game

when I told them "if you make it that button they may accidentially purchase the content" they said "who cares we looked at the risk "

there are old f***s like that all throughout the industry and you think losing digital content and digital stores being taken down is just "ahhh whatever"

    no its not

  • Kr0niic

only "reasonable" because these people are short-sighted. especially in an era that is constantly delisting titles in order to sell a full price remaster / remake or just removed with no replacement, how can you say it doesnt matter? the majority of tv and movies watched are reruns / syndicated programming but people don't like old s***? whether you personally value it or not, its all a part of our creative history and should be preserved as best as it can be just like any other history. we got companies like WBD out here deleting half theyre libraries to make the quarter look better or Sony wiping whole IPs from their memories but @Kabel will tell you its all for the best

I agree with you. Just saying that...yea I kind of get it for people who aren't worried about this s*** when bills are to be paid

Hey im agreeing with you, but the majority doesnt. As i said, im still buying physicals when i can because i think maintaining our history is important. People are more willing to pay for subscriptions and digital games.

Like GTA Trilogy is a perfect example. The took down the original games rather than have the remaster be a separate SKU. Luckily you can still find the ogs but thats the lengths we need to go in our all digital future.

Just receieved my $1 ali express ps5 stand

Comes with stand, screw, and instructions

Looks just like the real thing. Material doesn't feel cheap and looks legit

I'd say $1 well spent and way worth it getting this than spending $30 on the real deal.
