if you've ever gotten popular tickets on ticketmaster when they dropped its a very similar process. When you go to the PS direct site before 10am, there will be a countdown and when the countdown ends you get (randomly?) put into a spot in the queue to be let into the site and pick your item. I can't remember if your console is reserved for a specific amount of time when you put it in your cart or not though
