They were likely never gonna drop the price of the PS5 back down to it's initial MSRP. But with it getting jailbroken AND people reinstating backwards compatibility with PS2 and PS3 discs, Sony can't even risk making the console cheap again. People are just gonna jail break the console and get access to anything/everything for free.
