I think a lot of the forspoken hate came from Xbox fans who wanted to convince themselves they weren’t missing out on anything good, and then they had to convince themselves hi-fi rush is brilliant because game pass hasn’t had a good exclusive since 2021. besides tunic but Xbox console warriors were too dumb to realize that was a classic.

Hi Fi rush is really good though, fanboys def contribute but I think nowadays people just love to bandwagon hate/love things if they see that's the popular opinion on Twitter. Forming your own opinion is dead

It was more than just Xbox fanboys. The dialogue got trashed by critics and reviewers. American critics some of who from what I gather didn't get a code as early as they would like went extra hard on it when they have let many silly written RPG stories fly. There is a lot of politics behind it but its definitely more than fanboyism
