Kinda bummed by a lot of comments I’m seeing online about how the protagonist is unlikable and a d*** to everybody. I think this is a misinterpretation. She just grew up without a family and had a rough life on the streets of NY, and she’s just a teen on top of that. The way she comes off is just a wall that she puts up, deep down and in her private moments we see her cry, care and love for her cat, etc. Ultimately it’s more authentic then a character that’s just written to be a super likable people pleaser.

Most of these losers saying that s***. Are yes mostly racist and mostly get no women. They cant get romantically involved with no one due to being f***ing losers so they take out all their anger on a game with a woman black mc because its shaking their safe zone with their gaming.

nah the game takes place in a largely lifeless world. story keeps hitting you over the head with the same plot points.

The banter between the mc and the helper character is super annoying, etc.

Sound mix is all over the place, etc.

The bar is just too high for AAA open world games rn, especially when it comes to providing an engaging combat experience.

It's not a genre that you can phone in anymore.

damn there’s a lot of post-credits stuff to do this a beefy game apparently there’s 4 legendary bosses you can track down as well, haven’t found one yet though but there’s a lot of new areas to explore now

this game is a big surprise to me, started playing last night ended up playing for 9 hours straight no break, its a flawed game but f*** social media for making it out to be one of the worst things in gaming cause the game truly is fun, the dialogue is iffy at times but its nowhere as bad as people are making out to be its passable and the gameplay loop and the combat are great.

if you were interested but changed your mind because of what you've seen online, my advice is you ignore everyone and go for it there's a lot of fun to be had here.

hopefully this game proves to some ppl that just cuz a game is a 6/10 (which means above avg btw) doesn’t mean you can’t have a ton of fun with it.
