I get making your midcard titles feel more "important" but people ain't invested in them and stories surrounding both midcard titles have been mid at best. On top of the fact that folks are fatigued w/ Romans finishes. Hell I wouldn't even mind if Roman won clean.
This is a dated booking model, this ain't the 1980s and arguably put them in the same drought situation when they tried that the first time, when WCW was on the rise. That and when NWO had their over-extended reign. Timing is everything and they're making those same mistakes.
This is definitely Luger at SummerSlam 93 or Sting at Starrcade 97, and what followed both was people tuning out.

Oh it’s definitely time to merge the WWE and Undisputed titles and then bring back the WHC for Raw. They can’t go another year with a part time champ for both brands that shows up on Raw three times a year.

Exactly. That's all I'm saying. They need 2 belts moving forward for separate brands. They absolutely can't do another year of Roman holding both titles.
Hell, retire the Uni title at Romans 1000 days and bring back the Big Gold and make it up for grabs for Seth, Drew, GUNTHER, Bobby, etc. Cody can work on his redemption arc, while you have another major title holder outside of Roman.

I don’t really think it’s even about the 1000s days. I think that they’re just comfortable with Roman holding the belts for the foreseeable future because he’s there biggest draw. Don’t surprised if Roman retains at WM40 either lol.
