it really was...shit even when it got s***ty in 99-01 there was some dope cruiserweight, high flying spotfest s*** going on but yeah 96-98 WCW cruiserweights were something else...from a match quality standpoint they carried the whole company (main events were almost always old f***s who couldn't really go anymore)

for certain things yes...tag division definitely needs to be improved and refocus on the top teams vs random pairings and acts that aren't ready yet

that being said...Danhausen and Orange technically make the most sense to be the last team aside from FTR from a story standpoint bc they have history with Jarrett/Lethal and the Gunns (Acclaimed also to an extent)...match will at least be entertaining even if it's not a 5 star classic...HOB vs Elite gonna be where it's at Sunday as far as tag team s*** goes
